  • What are baby-wearing dance fitness classes?
    These are low impact dance fitness sessions designed for parents and caregivers to participate in while wearing babies in a carrier or sling.
  • What should I bring to the class?
    Bring a comfortable carrier or sling for your baby that you would usually use already. For yourself please bring a water bottle and wear supportive indoor shoes with good grip and comfortable clothes. For your baby, please bring any necessary items such as nappies and wipes. If you are joining with an older child, bring a favourite toy to keep your child occupied while you are dancing.
  • Are there any benefits of baby-wearing dance fitness classes?
    Absolutely! These classes offer a variety of benefits, including bonding with your baby through physical touch and movement, improving your cardiovascular health and fitness levels, promoting postpartum recovery, and connecting with other parents in a supportive environment.
  • What if my baby becomes fussy during the class?
    It's entirely normal for babies to become fussy or restless during the class. Our instructors understand and encourage parents to attend to their baby's needs as necessary. You're welcome to take a break, nurse, or comfort your baby as needed and rejoin the class when you're ready.
  • Do I need any prior dance experience to attend the classes?
    No prior dance experience is required! Our classes are designed for fitness levels and dance abilities.

  • Is it safe to dance with my baby in a carrier?
    Yes - it's safe when using a secure carrier/sling and paying attention to your body and baby's response. Our classes are designed to incorporate gentle movements that keep the safety of mums and babies in mind.
  • At what age can my baby join the class?
    Babies can typically join baby-wearing dance classes once they have sufficient head and neck control, usually from around 3 months old. It's essential to consult with your healthcare provider before participating in any physical activity with your baby.
  • How soon after birth can I join?
    8+ weeks post vaginal birth/12+ weeks post c-sections (with healthcare provider clearance) Before starting any exercise regimen, it's important to get clearance from your healthcare provider, especially if you had a c-section or complications during delivery.
  • What are your safety guidelines?
    Yes - we've put together safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment and positive experience for everyone. Please find the safety guidelines here
  • Who are the classes for?
    For parents/carers of babies from 3 months to 3 years Bumps welcome too New mums 8+ weeks post vaginal birth/12+ weeks post c-sections (with health provider clearance)
  • Can dads participate?
    Of course! Our classes are open to all parents and caregivers, regardless of gender. Dads, grandparents, and other caregivers are welcome to join in the fun and bonding experience of baby-wearing dance fitness classes.
  • Can I join the class if I'm pregnant?
    Yes - low impact exercise is a great way to stay fit and prepare for labor, providing many benefits for pregnant women.
  • Can I bring more than 1 baby?
    Yes, you're welcome to bring siblings or twins to the class. However it's essential that you have a carrier/sling that can safely accommodate multiple babies and that you feel comfortable managing them during the class.
  • Can I join with a toddler?
    Yes, make sure to bring along their favourite toy to keep your toddler occupied while you exercise.
  • How long are sessions and what is the format?
    45-minute easy to follow dance fitness class set to latin music (bachata, salsa, merengue etc.) 5-10 minutes before and after class to get ready and pack up Low impact - designed with safety of babies and new mums in mind Plenty of breaks

  • What are the facilities?
    Facilities include: Training studio Toilets Baby-changing Step-free access Lounge/quiet area Nearby parking
  • How do I book?

  • What if I can't attend a class I booked?
    Please contact us and we can reschedule your session for the next time you're able to attend. Cancellation policy: We issue refunds for bookings with a minimum of 48 hours notice. If you are unable to let us know less than 48 hours before your booked session, we are happy to reschedule your booking.
